What’s the difference between UK and US keyboard layouts?
UK keyboards use the ISO layout, with a tall Enter key, an extra key beside the left Shift for the backslash, a # key next to Enter and the £ sign above 3. The @ and double-quote symbols also swap places. US (ANSI) keyboards have a wide Enter key and no £ key. If you type in British English, a UK layout keeps your keycaps and settings matched.
Is a wireless mouse fast enough for competitive gaming?
Yes. Modern gaming mice that use a 2.4GHz USB receiver respond so quickly that most players can’t tell them apart from wired mice, and they’re widely used in competitive play. Bluetooth is better kept for laptops and travel because it adds latency. For the strongest signal, keep the receiver close to your mouse, using an extension cable if needed.
Do I need a capture card to stream PC games?
Not usually. Streaming software can capture PC games directly, so a single-PC setup mainly needs a decent mic and webcam. A capture card is for recording or streaming a console through your PC, or for a two-PC setup. If you’re capturing a PS5, turn off HDCP in the console’s HDMI settings first, or gameplay won’t record.
Can I return a keyboard or mouse if I don’t like the feel?
Yes. You have 14 days from delivery to change your mind, and typing on a board or gliding a mouse across a mat is the sort of check you would make in a shop.
